USC defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron has never been one to mince words.
Being a highly coveted recruiter and one of the top defensive line coaches in the country, Orgeron's name comes up often during the course of an off season. When asked recently about his commitment to the USC program, Coach O's response was classic.
"I'm a Trojan. I'm a Trojan and I'm not wavering from that. I'm here and I've made a commitment to Pat Haden and Lane Kiffin, and the USC Trojan family. All I needed to do was leave USC one time," Orgeron said, referring to his stint as the head coach at Ole Miss from 2005-2007.
"In fact, the last time that I left USC, I was one the plane, and I wanted the plane to turn around and come back. My wife and I, and my family, talked about it and we said if we ever got back to USC we weren't leaving. So I'm here."
That sounds pretty solid to us.
