This halftime speech is about much more than football

Going into halftime last weekend, Vanderbilt was up just 10-7 on a UMass squad that had lost 14 of their last 15 games and the mood in the locker room was far from happy.

Senior offensive lineman Wesley Johnson gave his teammates a frustrated and fiery speech before James Franklin took things over and used the moment to teach his guys a lesson that goes far beyond the confines of a field.

"The rest of your life, no one is going to care about the problems. You either get it done, or you don't."

"Change it. Change your circumstances. That's it...that's it. It's time to start taking control of your own circumstances." Franklin poignantly explained.
