Urban issues a very soft denial
This morning, Urban Meyer spoke with long time friend and Gainesville journalist Pat Dooley.
Meyer said he has not interviewed for the Ohio State job and never interviewed for the Arizona job.
On Ohio State his words were, "I'm in a good place right now mentally and physically. So if something happens with Ohio State, I'll have a decision to make. But there has been no interview. There has been no offer to make a decision about."
Later in the discussion Urban added, "I love football, it's what I am. I miss it." Followed by, "If there is a decision to be made concerning Ohio State, there will be a lot that will go into it. But right now, there is no decision to be made."
Nothing is certain; but that sure does sound like Urban's headed to Columbus once there is a decision to be made.
Regarding the Arizona "interview", Urban said, "It wasn't an interview. [Arizona AD Greg Byrne] wanted to talk and he's a good friend. We talked about other coaches who might be good fits for the job. He asked me if I had any interest and I told him I did not."
