The coaching profession can take its toll on family life, especially if you don't have the right approach and pieces in place away from the office. Finding a balance between "your kids at work" and your kids at home is a challenge for any coach.
This video from Arkansas follows the life of Arkansas tight ends coach coach Barry Lunney Jr. and his family and how they've adapted to having big time college football in their lives. Lunney has served as both a major college assistant (Tulsa, San Jose State, and Arkansas) as well as a high school head coach (as recently as 2012), so he provides an interesting perspective.
If you're married with young kids, you already know how important it is to have a wife that understands the profession and the hours that you've got to put in on the office and on the road. If you're a young coach that hasn't started that chapter of your life yet, this video is a great look at what's needed to keep everything together as a college assistant.
Great work by Arkansas here.
