During the course of a practice, Fred Tate teaches more than just technique. He also spends time teaching his defensive lineman how to recover after making a mistake.
"What I like about his style is, you know things are going to happen. You're never going to have a perfect game and he teaches you not only how to play when things go right, but when things go wrong how to cover your butt." defensive lineman Jordan Stepp explains.
"Coach Tate has taught us that when we don't make that right split second reaction, it's not over...there's still things that we can do to make up for it."
Some quality footage of coach Tate in action here, showing why he has been successful at stops like Marshall and Texas Tech, and why he's quickly earned the respect of his players since arriving on campus with new head coach Tommy Tuberville.
