For the first time in more than 40 years, Stanford will make back-to-back appearances in the Rose Bowl. A year after upsetting Oregon and winning the Pac-12 championship... the Cardinal upset Oregon and won the Pac-12.
Once again, Stanford led the Pac-12 in scoring defense (18.6 points per game), touchdowns allowed (28), rushing defense (91.62 yards per game), yards per carry (2.98) and total defense (339.4 yards per game). Stanford went 5-1 against the top half of the Pac-12, including two wins against Pac-12 South champion Arizona State, and beat Notre Dame in non-conference play. In all, seven of the Cardinal's 11 wins came against ranked teams, and they'll get an opportunity for an eighth win against No. 4 Michigan State in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.
This is the season highlight video the Cardinal showed its players at the team banquet on Sunday night. If you like hard-nosed football and clean cinematography, this one's for you.
