West Virginia strength coach Mike Joseph gives a tour of the newly renovated Puskar Center weight room in West Virginia, and as with everything that happens under Dana Holgorsen's watch, you can tell that a ton of though went into even the finest details of the new-look facility.
One of the goals of the new facility was to make things more visually appealing to players and recruits. The Mountaineers already had one of the largest weight rooms in the country at 23,000 square feet, and while they added an additional 1,800 feet, they wanted to make sure that it stood out to recruits during their time on campus, and was a place that the players enjoyed being.
Lots of color (as in navy, gold, and gray) were added to everything from the bumper weights to the new three-lane track, and the layout allows the strength staff to work both large and small groups efficiently and effectively.
