Arizona reportedly working on raise and extension for Jedd Fisch (Arizona)

After a three-year turnaround at Arizona, the school is working on an extension and raise for Jedd Fisch, according to multiple outlets.

Fisch is finishing the first year of a five-year deal he signed almost exactly one year ago after improving the Wildcats from 1-11 in year one to 5-7 in year two. That extension was announced back on December 1st of last year, and it took him through the 2027 season.

This past season, he was the 54th highest paid coach in college football, making $3.25 million, according to the USA Today Coaches Salary database.

Only Washington State head coach Jake Dickert made less among fellow Pac-12 head coaches this past season.

The initial five-year deal Fisch inked back in 2020 paid him just $2.6 million per year.

Now in year three in Tuscon, he has Arizona in the top 25 with an impressive 9-3 record.

Their 7-2 mark in conference play this year ties the most league wins in school history. Hitting the nine-win mark has only happened seven other times in Arizona's football history.

Fisch inherited a program reeling from a string of bad losses under Kevin Sumlin, including a 70-7 defeat to rival Arizona State to end their 2020 campaign in need of a significant rebuild, and he has quickly built them into a top Pac-12 program in the league's final year of existence.
