Patriotic helmets have been a staple of the college football uniform world for years now. It's so ingrained, in fact, that I've started to believe programs have run out of ways to incorporate the stars and stripes into a football helmet.
Ball State has proven me wrong.
With Memorial Day weekend waiting just around the corner, the Cardinals (led by new head coach Mike Neu, thereby following the law that all new coaches must have new uniforms as well) have unveiled these bad boys.
Oh, and there is also a black lid among the bunch.
