Bill Snyder sent the kicker at that beat him on a last second field goal a note of congratulations (Kansas State)

The Big 12 has started a new sportsmanship initiative across the conference. The league would be wise to name it after Bill Snyder.

Snyder and Kansas State spent Saturday losing to Oklahoma State in a game that, one could argue, Big 12 officials stole from them. The zebras awarded the Cowboys a first down they did not earn, leading to a touchdown just before halftime and eventually allowing Ben Grogan to nail 37-yard game-winning field goal with 32 seconds remaining.

The loss dropped the Wildcats to 3-1 on the season (0-1 Big 12) with TCU, Oklahoma and Baylor all heading to Manhattan over the next month. There's a chance that call, and the loss the followed, could be the difference between a bowl and an empty winter for Kansas State.

And yet, Snyder took time to fashion one of his famous hand-written notes for Grogan this week.
