On Saturday, Bob Davie will return to the sidelines for his New Mexico team after an opening weekend health scare that left him feeling lucky to be alive.
Davie shared with KOB4 that he was officially cleared by doctors late last week. He shared with the local news station that he plans to continue coaching how he always has.
βI don't think you can control who you are and how you do things and if you have to do it maybe you shouldn't be doing it,β Davie said.
After winning their opening weekend in a close one against Sam Houston State (FCS - TX) with Davie on the sideline, New Mexico lost to Notre Dame (66-14) before beating in-state rival New Mexico last weekend in a wild 55-52 finish.
Davie will lead the program on the road Saturday against Liberty, where Hugh Freeze has been battling health issues of his own.
