Boston College has inked a long-term deal with a new uniform provider (New Balance)

Over the course of the last 12 months, the Under Armour brand has received a major black eye in the college athletics world after pulling out of deals with UCLA, Cincinnati, and Boston College.

Now Boston College has landed a new apparel provider, inking a 10-year deal with New Balance, who is based out of Boston.

However, New Balance will outfit 30 out of 31 Boston College sports, with football being the lone exception, the release from the school shares.

"The largest financial footwear and apparel agreement in Boston College athletics history gives New Balance the right to provide uniforms, apparel, and footwear for 30 of BC's 31 varsity sports. The partnership will also include the opportunity for Boston College student-athletes to be part of an annual internship program at New Balance," AD Pat Kraft shared.

Uni Watch's Paul Lukas notes football's uniform supplier will be announced at a later date.

"This partnership will be an absolute game-changer for Boston College athletics and our student-athletes. This is not just a historic deal in terms of the financial value and amount of apparel for our department. The opportunities for our student-athletes to assist in product design and development of the footwear and apparel they will actually wear and compete in will be transformational."

New Balance also currently has apparel deals with Denver and Maine in the sports space.

If you feel like you remember a college football team donning the NB logo, you're not crazy. Under Brian Kelly, Central Michigan rocked some New Balance apparel.

For UA, deals currently remain in place at Maryland, Cal, Auburn, Northwestern, Notre Dame Utah, and Cal, but there's no denying that damage has been done to the UA brand.

The partnership will also allow for some unique opportunities for some BC student athletes that includes access to the new state-of-the-art TRACK@New Balance that is currently under construction.
