Butch Jones lands experienced, young coordinator to call defense (Arkansas State)

Nate Dreiling spent this past season as the interim head coach at Utah State after Blake Anderson and the school parted ways.

The 34-year old led the Aggies to a 4-8 mark in a season rife with adversity.

Now, the former FBS and Division II coordinator is set to join a staff led by a head coach with plenty of experience.

Dreiling has accepted the defensive coordinator at Arkansas State under Butch Jones.

Before joining Anderson's staff in Logan, Dreiling was the defensive coordinator at New Mexico and Pittsburg State (D-II - KS). He has also worked at Oregon as a defensive analyst and held the defensive run game coordinator title at Southeast Missouri State (FCS).

A decorated former player, who captured All-American honors an astonishing four times and was the D-II National Player of the Year in 2011 at Pitt State, he joins a Red Wolves program coming off an eight-win season in Jones' fourth season leading the team.
