Charlie Strong's testimony sought in Louisville Board Member's divorce case (Top)

According to reports out of Louisville, University of Texas head coach Charlie Strong could be forced to testify and turn over all phone and travel records from the past four years in connection with a divorce case back in Louisville.

Jonathan Blue, a major financial supporter of Louisville athletics and a member of the Louisville Board of Trustees and the Louisville Foundation Board of Directors, is divorcing his wife of seventeen years Tracy. Blue's attorney has asked a judge to compel Strong to testify, labeling Strong a "critical witness" to Tracy Blue's "repeated behavior and activities that are inconsistent with being a role model and responsible caretaker" for the couple's teen daughters.

The attorney has requested Strong's cell phone records & text messages from 2012 to present and has requested all records of air travel for the same time. The attorney has also requested Strong return the "Movado watch" and all clothing and jewelry Tracy Blue gave to Strong.

WDRB in Louisville notes that Tracy Blue will ask for a protective order preventing any depositions until the couple completes mediation.

Charlie, who has been married to his wife Vicki since 2003, was hired as the Longhorns' new head coach following the 2013 season. Strong has led the Longhorns to finishes of 6-7 and 5-7 in his two years in Austin. Last week Strong filled out his coaching staff (Strong hired 5 new assistants this offseason) and was planning to refocus on Spring ball and recruiting; but one has to think this news will cause even more off the field distractions for Strong who is heading into a pivotal third season at the helm.
