Fans of college football will remember the name JP Losman. The former Tulane quarterback had a stellar college career after being tabbed a top quarterback coming out of high school in Los Angeles, and went on to become a first-round pick (#22 overall) by the Bills in the 2004 NFL Draft.
Losman spent a total of eight seasons in the NFL, going from the Bills (2004-08), to the Raiders (2009), to the Seahawks (2010), before making the final stop of his NFL career with the Dolphins in 2011.
In June of 2017, Losman resurfaced in college football as a coaching intern on Dabo Swinney's staff at Clemson, where he's spent the past two seasons.
Today, Losman's name again popped up, this time as one of the hot topics the Pro Day event that Clemson hosted. The 38-year old intern impressed stepped in as the quarterback to throw balls to wide receivers and defensive backs, and apparently was so impressive that he was approached by at least one NFL team about a comeback.
It's not good enough that Dabo has one the best facilities in collegee football, or that he's got one of the best and highest paid coordinators in college football in Brent Venables, or that he put together a staff and team that absolutely took it to Nick Saban and Alabama in the national title game...now he's gotta have a coaching intern that turns the heads of NFL scouts while playing catch with his NFL hopefuls.
Just another example of Dabo winning again folks.
