Kevin Sumlin is entering year 6 as the leader of the Aggies. However, his teams have never won more than 9 games without Kliff Kingsbury on the sidelines calling the offense.
Coming off his third straight 8 win season, Sumlin knows the expectations in College Station are for a big year and that another 5 loss season probably would be his last.
Well, after hearing his AD Scott Woodward speaking on the Paul Finebaum show this afternoon, it is clear that Sumlin fully understands the expectations for this season. Win, a lot, or this is the end.
Texas A&M AD Scott Woodward didn't mince words on Finebaum today. "Coach knows he has to win and he has to win this year." #12thManpic.twitter.com/Qopj1oV1rB

You don't often see an AD come out that strongly about his coach's future; but anyone who knows Scott or Kevin won't find these words either surprising or indicative of a rift. Kevin knows the teams needs to demonstrate better results on the field. It is his team. He accepts all that comes with this.
Here's to hoping for good things for the Aggies this season.
