Considered by many a rising star in the profession, Adams left Villanova for an opportunity in the NFL with the Denver Broncos as their assistant defensive backs coach.
He spent one season in the league before returning to college football at Penn State under James Franklin and Manny Diaz.
The Nittany Lions just wrapped up a regular season where they ranked 3rd nationally in scoring defense, behind only fellow Big Ten Michigan and Ohio State.
