Longtime NFL defensive lineman Domata Peko is expected to be Colorado's next defensive line coach, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.
Peko's career began at the College of the Canyons in 2002 before transferring to Michigan State in 2004. From there, he was a fourth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2006, which began a 15-year career spread across Cincinnati, Denver, Baltimore and Arizona.
In 15 NFL seasons, Peko played in 214 career games (194 starts) with 616 tackles, 20 sacks and two forced fumbles. He spent the 2024 season working with the defensive line for the Dallas Cowboys.
Peko replaces Damione Lewis, who took the same job with Miami.
Peko's 15 years of NFL experience will pair with senior quality control analyst Warren Sapp 13 seasons to give Colorado nearly three full decades of playing experience at the game's highest level to aid the Buffaloes' defensive front.
