Video: This may be the most creative play call of the 2016 college football season (guard)

College football is full of creative play calls, and the entire staff here at The Scoop is especially fond of fat guy touchdowns...well, who isn't?

Anytime you can dial something creative up to throw a bone to your guys that pave the way up front all game, people take notice.

Well over the weekend, Monmouth College (D-III - IL) dialed up what might be the most creative play call of the 2016 college football season by first faking a handoff to a running back from a shotgun two-back set, and then handing it off to a deep pulling guard to the left.

That guard, who also happens to be a lefty, then set up and threw a deep ball to a wide open receiver, who had to slow down a bit, but ended up making a great play on the ball for a big gain.

It's worth mentioning that Monmouth offensive coordinator Joe Freitag also serves as the team's offensive line coach...which totally makes sense the more you watch the play.

Enjoy the play from two angles below and take a moment to marvel at the creativity that went into this one.
