I saw this fake punt roll across my timeline earlier courtesy of Hudl, and the call took so much guts that I had to bring it to the masses.
The play is from Santa Fe HS (Edmond, OK) and it features a fake punt successfully pulled off from inside of their own 10-yard line, from the 8-yard line to be exact. He ended up taking it to the house.
Take a look. Genuis or crazy?

Last week, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake made the call to fake a punt inside his own 5-yard line on 4th and 19 and was grilled by fans and the media for it.
The big difference in the two situations? The ball carrier on the punt for BYU is a full time punter with limited experience running the ball, while the kid from Santa Fe is making plays at wide receiver when he's not catching long snaps.
