With Dell McGee off for his first head coaching opportunity at Georgia State, Kirby Smart moved quickly to fill the offensive opening on staff.
According to multiple reports, Georgia Tech wide receivers coach Josh Crawford is set to be the new running backs coach for the Bulldogs.
Crawford just wrapped up his first season on Brent Key's staff, and before joining the Yellow Jackets he spent two seasons as the co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach at Western Kentucky.
Before breaking into college football, Crawford coached at some of the top high school programs in The Peach State including Colquitt County, Lee County, Jefferson County and Greater Atlanta Christian, and Valdosta where he was a part of three state titles.
Yet to turn 40, Crawford has quickly built a reputation as an outstanding recruiter.
He and James Coley, who had recently accepted the receivers job at South Carolina, have yet to be announced as the newest members of the UGA offensive staff.
