Greg Chimera steps down at Johns Hopkins for FCS coordinator opportunity (penn)

For almost two decades, Greg Chimera has been a part of the Johns Hopkins (D-III -MD) football program spanning from player to coach.

Chimera has decided to take on a new challenge, and is stepping down to become the offensive coordinator at Penn (FCS).

He will also coach the team's quarterbacks

Chimera spent a decade on the Johns Hopkins coaching staff, including five seasons as offensive coordinator, before being elevated to head coach heading into the 2019 .

Tabbed to take over for following the untimely passing of longtime and legendary head coach Jim Margraff, Chimera took over prior to the 2019 season and has led the team to an impressive 40-7 record.

The 40-wins place him third in school history.

A national search is underway at Johns Hopkins for their new leader.

At Penn, Chimera joins a team that finished 6-4 last year and 3-4 in Ivy League play.
