Todd Graham is the new head coach at Hawaii, the program announced Tuesday night -- or afternoon, depending on what side of the Pacific you live on.
He will be formally introduced at a Wednesday afternoon (night on the mainland) press conference.
Graham, 55, spent the past two years out of football after serving 12 consecutive seasons as the head coach at Rice, Tulsa, Pitt and Arizona State and 30 consecutive in coaching, beginning as an assistant at Poteet High School in Mesquite, Texas.
The Texas native led 10 of his 12 teams to bowl games and brings a 96-51 career record to Honolulu. He was not retained after a 6-year run at Arizona State that saw the Sun Devils win the 2013 Pac-12 South championship and reach five bowl games, including a 7-6 campaign in 2017.
Graham also won three division championships in four seasons at Tulsa from 2007-10.
He will take over for Nick Rolovich, who left to become the head coach at Washington State. Rolovich led the Warriors to a 10-5 record -- just two other teams in FBS history have posted a 10-5 record -- with a MW West Division championship and a victory over BYU in the Hawaii Bowl.
Hawaii is 18-11 over the past two seasons, the best 2-season stretch since going 19-8 from 2007-08.
With Hawaii's hiring of Graham, all 130 FBS head coaching positions are now filled at this time.
