After a lengthy battle with cancer, Kentucky offensive line coach John Schlarman passed back on November 12th.
To say that Schlarman bled blue would be an understatement. He was born in Kentucky, played for the Wildcats, worked his way onto the All American team, and was extremely grateful when the opportunity came to return to Lexington as the offensive line coach under Mark Stoops.
When the Wildcats took the field in their first game following his passing, they found a special way to pay tribute to their coach.
On College GameDay today, a special aired on coach Schlarman, where his family, coaches, and players weighed in on Schlarman's impact and how he inspired so many with the way he chose to live his life before, and after the cancer diagnosis.
