Lake Orion (MI): Chris Bell has stepped down from the head coaching job after being promoted to district athletic director, and longtime assistant coach John Blackstock has been promoted to head coach.
Calvary Chapel (CA): Calvary Chapel HS located in Santa Ana, CA is hiring multiple positions (RBs, OL, DL, LBs). Possible defensive coordinator for right candidate. Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI): Brian Barnes, an assistant at Clawson HS (MI), has been named head coach.
Brookefield Central (WI): Brookfield Central HS has an opening for varsity LB coach with possibility of defensive coordinator for right fit. We are a multiple 3-4 team. Brookfield Central has a great history of successful football: 3 state runner ups, 17 conference championships and 15 playoff appearances. The last 2 seasons BC has went 19-4. Belton (MO): Belton HS is looking for a varsity assistant. We are a class 5 school in the Kansas City area competing in the Suburban Conference. We are developing a competitive program and want to continue to improve our coaching staff, we are looking for a high energy coach that loves kids and passionate about coaching the fundamentals of football. Our priority is to find an offensive line coach but possible defensive line. We do have Physical Education position at the high school and possibly other teacher openings to come. New Research: How Top Small School HS Programs “Do More with Less” – Since much of successful coaching lies in anticipating and managing, nobody understands that more than small school high school coaches who have learned to utilize limited numbers (players and staff), stay ahead of injuries and continually adjust their scheme to match their ever-changing personnel. X&O Labs researched how some small high school coaches are able to be successful year after year despite these problems. The criteria was geared for coaches who work with an average varsity roster size of 40 or less and have a career win/loss percentage of .790. Research was segmented into four areas of study: off-season program development, working with a limited roster size, delegating responsibilities to a smaller assistant coaching staff and implementing a scheme to maximize a talent base. Glades Central (FL): Jessie Hester has been named head coach.
Arlington (MA): Arlington HS, 15 minutes north of Boston, is hiring one varsity assistant coach for the 2017-18 season. We are a division 2 program in the competitive Middlesex League Liberty (Large) Division. Our staff needs a high-energy varsity WR coach to play an important role in our pistol-spread offense. Bonner Springs (Bonner Springs, KS): Bonner HS has an opening for a two varsity assistant coaches. (Offensive Line & Defensive Line). A successful candidate must possess knowledge, experience, and prior success in coaching at the high school or collegiate level. Offensive Line candidate will need some knowledge within the no huddle up-tempo style spread offensive systems. Coaching stipend will be based on candidate’s experience. Responsibilities include coaching the offensive line position group, opponent scouting, and video editing (Hudl), scouting reports, and other duties as assigned by the head coach and / or offensive coordinator. Defensive Line candidate must possess knowledge in teaching multiple fronts, teaching fundamentals and defensive line techniques, scouting reports, and coaching the defensive line position group.
