Winona State's Brian Bergstrom Discusses B.A.B. Tags in Man Pressures: Man pressures rely so much on generating match-ups. But one bad pressure call by a DC can result in the offensive exploiting a one-on-one for an explosive play. So, Winona State University (MN) head football coach Brian Bergstrom categorizes his man pressures in three areas: field, boundary and interior. And the player that activates is solely based on a series of tags (or pre-snap code words) relative to passing strength, formation surface or to the back in protection.
