Please join us in praying for the family of legendary Maryland HS coach Al Thomas, who recently died from cancer at age 76. Thomas won eight Maryland State titles with a total of three different programs (Seneca Valley HS, Damascus HS, and Sherwood HS).

Hart County (GA): Rance Gillespie, who was recently let go after a season as Georgia Southern's offensive coordinator, has been named head coach at Hart County.

Tremont (IL): Zach Zehr has been named head coach. Zehr was previously the head coach at Arcola HS (IL) where he won a state title with the program in 2015.

Haddon Heights (NJ): Rob Bryan has been appointed head coach.

Sand Creek (MI): Head coach Ernie Ayers has decided to retire after 38 seasons, 14 conference titles, 20 playoff appearances, 8 trips to the state semi-finals, and a 273-124-1 record. Ayers is a MHSFCA Hall of Fame member.

Grove City (OH): Tennyson Varney has been named head coach. Varney was the head coach at Franklin Heights (OH).

Terry Parker (FL): Former Englewood HS (FL) head coach Marcus Miller is the new head coach.

Locke (Los Angeles, CA): Former University of Arizona defensive back Michael Klyce has been hired to lead the program.

Beddingfield (NC): Offensive coordinator James Ward has been promoted to head coach.

Hanover (VA): Hanover HS is looking to add a WRs coach to the staff and also looking to hire one or possibly two people to coach who are also good teachers and want to teach in the school. Candidates need to be willing to work 7 days a week in season and assist with all work outs in the off season. They must also be certified to teach. Dublin (CA): Dublin HS is looking for a new head coach following the departure of John Wade, who had led the program since 2011. Wade compiled a 32-35 record during that time.

Gulf (FL): Jason Grain is the new head coach, per sources.

Beaver Local (OH): Beaver Local HS is seeking an enthusiastic individual to be the head coach of its Varsity football program. Beaver Local HS is a Division IV program and competes in the Buckeye 8 Conference as well as the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference. Qualified candidates will be expected to have an extensive knowledge of the sport and appropriate training and certifications. Previous high school or collegiate coaching experience is required and high school head coaching experience is preferred. Currently there are no anticipated teaching openings at this time. All interested and qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, resume and references to Athletic Director, Rick Prescott at The application deadline is Friday, Jan. 6th, 2017.

Cardinal Newman (SC): Cardinal Newman School in Columbia SC is seeking applicants for the position of offensive assistant coach for its football program. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional knowledge of offensive strategy, strong leadership skills, successful mentoring of student athletes, and organization and communication skills.
