Justin Garza, the former head coach of Central HS (Fresno, CA), has passed away after a six year battle with cancer. He began a drive to seek blood marrow transfer drives through Be the Match. Thru his efforts 2500 people responded to be tested, and three people have found that they have possible Bone Marrow donors. Justin was 41 years old and is survived by his wife and two kids.

Roncalli (IN): Bruce Scifres has resigned after 27 seasons leading the program to become the executive director of the Catholic Youth Organization for the Archdiocesee of Indianapolis. Scufres led Roncalli HS to seven state titles and an overall record of 248-88.

Dutchtown (LA): Benny Saia has stepped down from the head coaching job.

Fossil Ridge (CO): Fossil Ridge HS is looking for assistant coaches. Coordinator positions are a possibility. We will have teaching positions open in English and PE (must have certification in another subject as well). Coaches committed to the classroom are a must. We are searching for coaches dedicated to the development of young people, looking to serve as a contributing member of our school and greater Fort Collins community. Falkville (AL): Falkville HS is looking to hire assistant football coaches. There will be NO PE slots available. We are accepting all other Alabama certifications with emphasis on science and history. We are looking for the best fit for our program, possibility of defensive coordinator for the right candidate. Jones County (GA): Jones County HS is looking for coaches on defense with DBs or LBs coaching experience. Will have multiple teaching spots available but NO PE Spots. Please send resumes to jrogers@jones.k12.ga.us.

Turner County (GA): Turner County HS is accepting resumes for an offensive line coach. Current vacancies include history, economics, special ed, and possible vacancy in P.E. along with other subjects. If interested please email resume's to bsimmons@turner.k12.ga.us.

Lemoore (CA): Lemoore HS is looking to add experienced coaches to our JV and Varsity staff's. Teaching positions available in Math, Science, and PE. If interested, pleast contact coach Ascencio at rasencio@luhsd.k12.ca.us

Bolles (FL): Corky Rogers, the winningest head coach in state history, is stepping down as the head coach at Bolles HS citing health isssues, per Eugene Frenette.

Marco Island (FL): Marco Island Academy, and progressive public charter high school in Marco Island, Florida is looking for assistant coaches. Coordinator positions are a possibility. We will have teaching positions open in math, special education, english (2), science (2), and history. Coaches with success in the classroom are encouraged to apply.

Notre Dame (West Burlington, IA): Brian Sauser is the new head coach.

South Walton (FL): South Walton HS is a seeking a defensive assistant coach with experience in either LBs or DBs. We are located on the beautiful white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico in the panhandle of Florida. Will have math position opening and possibly social studies or science. No PE at this time. Guardian-Linemen

How are most programs using the Guardian Caps? -Most are implementing by position group for Inside Run / 9on7 power guys. Manage the buildup of all the daily blows with padding at the point of contact. Why are linemen and defensive backs still wearing the same protective equipment?

Bloomingdale (MI): Richard Roth will take over the program, per source. Previous head coach at Colon HS (MI).

Colgan (VA): Colgan HS is hiring multiple teachers and coaches for the 2017 school year. No PE openings, but all other teaching positions will be considered, with a preference to candidates that can teach Math, Science, Spanish, or English (No PE or Special Ed). Must be able to obtain a Virginia teaching license. Colgan is located in Northern Virginia, 45 miles south of Washington, DC, in Prince William County. We are a brand new school with only 9th, 10th, and 11th graders currently. We had an 8-1 record playing a JV schedule in 2016 and this fall will be our first full year of Varsity. Saugus (MA): Anthony Nalen has been named head coach of the program at Saugus HS. Nalen was the head coach at Randolph HS (MA) last season.

Granite Hills (Porterville, CA): Danny Williams, the former head coach at Vista HS (CA), has been appointed head coach.

Fallbrook (CA): Darius Pickett has been named head coach, replacing Bob Burt after one season.

Liberty (AZ): Liberty HS is looking for two positions; a JV offensive coordinator, and a JV offensive line coach that could lead to a varsity position.The following teaching positions are available; Math, English, Bio, World History, NO PE! Anticipated start date is May 1st for coaching spring ball and August 1 for the teaching positions. This position carries a stipend on top of a teaching contract. Other coaching opportunities are available if interested (basketball, baseball or track). We are looking to move quick. Valencia (CA): Head coach Shawn Racobs will not return, per source.

Canterbury (Fort Myers, FL): Canterbury School is looking for two JV assistant coaches with offensive line and/or defensive line/linebackers coaching experience.
