Bud Foster: Converting the G Defense to Defend 11 Personnel Run Game: In part 2 of X&O Labs’ continuing series with Coach Foster, the legendary defensive coordinator shows how to protect your second level linebackers so they can run down plays without relying on big-bodied, space-eaters up front. This hybrid front combines Foster’s G two linebacker principles with the single gap control of the Bear. This will help you defend the spread gap schemes we’re now seeing—like counters and powers. It’s a rare event when highly-regarded DCs literally open their playbooks for the sole purpose of helping others. That is what Bud Foster is doing with this X&O Labs series. This report is available right now. Go here to start reading [watch game film].
