The Simple Tweak on Power that Produced Over 7 Yards Per Carry: The power concept was a continual staple in prep powerhouse Catholic High School’s (LA) offensive menu. That was until the advent of the 4i-technique in Odd fronts started denting the point of attack. So, this past season, run game coordinator Sanders Davis made one minor tweak in the blocking scheme and it proved to create more force on play side double teams, helped maintain the A-B gap integrity needed to run the scheme and it was versatile enough to use for sniffers, tight ends and receivers. Coach Davis details this tweak in a brand-new X&O Labs’ clinic report. X&O Labs will release this report next Tuesday at 7 am. To see how this one adjustment can be applied to blocking movement fronts, downhill second level defenders and 6-technique defensive ends—click the link and enter your email address. X&O Labs will email this report directly to your email Tuesday morning: Go here to enter your email.
