Tom Herman and Tight Ends—4 Days at Texas Football: X&O Labs’ Senior Research Manager, Mike Kuchar, spent four days with the coaching staff at Texas. After all, this is where head coach Tom Herman’s 11 personnel offensive system produced three NFL caliber tight ends in his 12 years as an offensive coordinator. Kuchar has been sending daily emails detailing what he discovered during his time in Austin: an inside look at the offensive system being developed at Texas; mantras in Texas’ interior run game; box count relevance; tight end time management; and much more. If you’re not receiving these email updates, you are truly missing out on great insight into what Coach Herman and his staff are doing.
