RPO– Pairing Four Verts With QB Draw:When looking back at the 2013 season, Madison High School (OH) offensive coordinator Mike Martin felt he was spending too much time teaching pass concepts, considering the Blue Streaks were a 65 percent run team. So, in 2014, he implemented a concept that was time saving and a simple solution to increase productivity. The concept was a pairing of Four Verticals with a QB Draw element and the results spoke for themselves: the Blue Streaks, who finished 10-2, averaged 35 yards a completion and five scrambles that netted 13.5 yards per carry with four of five resulting in first downs. Coach Martin details the route progression, QB post-snap read progression and protection adjustments in this exclusive clinic report on XandOLabs.com.Read Coach Martin’s clinic report here.
