Please join us in praying for the Burton family, who lost coach Clint Burton (offensive coordinator at Pike County HS, in Georgia) after an eight month battle with cancer yesterday. 

Ken Netherland, who won more games (363) than any other coach in Tennessee high school football history, had died. Netherland coached at Hillcrest HS, Germantown HS, St. George's HS, and retired from Lausanne HS after the 2013 season.

Sisters (OR): Gary Thorson has been hired as the head coach of the Outlaws.

Tuscola (NC): Per source, Tommy Pursley has accepted the head caoching job.

New Egypt (NJ): ParsippanyHS (NJ) head coach Philip "Flip" McGuane has resigned to become the new head coach and athletic coordinator at New Egypt HS.

Port St. Lucie (FL): Head coach Ryan Solesky is seeking to hire a quarterbacks coach. College experience and previous coordinating experience preferred. Teaching positions are expected to be available. Please call coach Solesky to discuss at 310.902.8532. 

Middleton (Tampa, FL): Middleton HS (5A) is accepting resumes for an assistant varsity football coach. Paid coaching staff positions are for DL and OL and Special Teams. The teaching position available on our campus is in Math, but there are other positions at nearby schools. George Wythe (Richmond, VA): George Wythe High School in Richmond, VA is in need of an opponent for a Military Appreciation Game they are hosting at Virginia Union University’s Hovey Field on September 19, 2014.
