John Hersey (IL): Per source, the head coaching job is open.
Woodbridge (VA): Woodbridge HS is looking for assistant coaches. Woodbridge is a 6A program in Northern VA, and is currently in need of the following positions; DBs, LBs, RBs, WRs. No teaching positions are currently available in the building. Interested candidates can send their matierials to wedgetr@pwcs.edu.
State College (PA): Matt Lintal has been approved as the new head coach.
Minneapolis Edison (MN): Sources tell us that the head coaching position has recently opened up.
SportsLeader:Football Athlete Leadership Seminars for college and high school young men. We have 5 dates at present in Dayton, OH, Cincinnati, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, South Lyon, MI and Naperville, IL. We are open to setting up more and we are looking for other schools who would be willing to host as well. Your leaders will learn how to create and run a leadership council by creating a culture of PERSONAL OWNERSHIP. Baraboo (WI): Steve Turkington, an assistant from Verona HS (WI), has been announced as the new head coach at Baraboo HS.
Strom Thrumond (SC): Head coach Lee Sawyer has announced his retirement. Sawyer has been the head coach since 2004 and is the winningest coach in history with a 171-24 record.
San Benito (TX): Daniel Gomez is the new head coach and athletics director. Gomez went 12-11 in two seasons at Lytle (TX).
Deltona Trinity Christian (FL): Former Central Florida Christian head coach Monty Vann has accepted the same position at Trinity Christian.
Fairland (OH): Former Marshall defensive back Rashad Jackson has been named the head coach at Fairland High School in Proctorville, Ohio.
Clovis West (Fresno, CA): Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA) head coach George Petrissans has accepted the head coaching job at Clovis West.
Elgin (TX): Wichita Falls Rider (TX) head coach Jim Garfield has accepted a similar post at Elgin.
Little Elm (TX): DeSoto (TX) defensive coordinator Kendrick Brown has taken the head job at Little Elm.
Gladewater (TX): Head coach Jerrod Baugh has resigned.
George Wythe (VA):George Wythe HS, a small division 3 school in Richmond, Virginia needs a game September 19th preferably a home game, but can travel. We also need a scrimmage August 23. Please contact head coach Frank Coston at fandk.coston@gmail.com.
