Bridgton Academy (ME): Kenyon College offensive coordinator Chad Walker has accepted the head coaching job at Bridgton. 

East Ridge HS (TN): Tracy Malone, former head coach at White County, has been named head coach at East Ridge in Chattanooga. 

Buchholz (FL): Former offensive coordinator Mark Whittemore has been hired as the head coach.

Shenandoah (IA): Brian Diekmann has been approved as the new head football coach at Shenandoah HS.

Mandarin (FL): Mandarin High is looking for an assistant defensive football coach to work with either defensive backs, linebackers or defensive line. Experience is preferred. Possible teaching positions available depending on certification and subject area. Please email resumes to

Menominee (MI): Michigan High School Hall of Fame head coach Ken Hofer has decided to retire after 41 years as the head coach.

Hall (TN): Head coach Kevin Julian has resigned.

Northampton (MA): Northampton HS is seeking applicants for their varsity head coaching opening. Requirements: Experience in coaching high school football. Start Date: 8/20/2012. Contact Athletic Director James M. Miller at for an application.

Smithville (TX): Defensive coordinator Wayne Childs has been promoted to head coach and will also serve as athletic director.

Orangefield (TX): Josh Smalley is the new head coach and athletic director at Orangefield HS.

Knox (IN): Chris McGowan has been named head coach at Knox. 

Sparkman HS (AL): We hear William Thomas has been named interim head coach for this season at Sparkman.
