Flipping through games this weekend, the Houston vs. UTSA match up is not going to look like what you would expect it to, so prepare yourself accordingly.
That's because Dana Holgorsen's squad is busting out some special commemorative uniforms paying tribute to the Houston Oilers for their game tomorrow against UTSA.
The iconic color combination of Columbia blue uniforms with a scarlet red outline on white numbers and lettering, like the Oilers used to wear, will be a stark contrast for fans tuning in to see Houston in their typical red home uniforms.
"Houston" will be proudly displayed in edgy lettering on a white helmet also for the game.
The Oilers played in Houston from 1960 until 1996 when the franchise decided to. relocate to Nashville and thus became the Tennessee Titans.
Take a look at these, which have entered the conversation as an early favorite for my alternate uniform of the year.
Love you, Houston. This one is for you. #GoCoogs | #TEAM pic.twitter.com/X2Ul4SWwf5
