Following the ugly incidents at Jay High School in San Antonio, Linden High School in New Jersey and La Canada High School in California, another player has added to the unfortunate and growing list of acts of violence during high school football games.
This time it's Glencliff (Tennessee) safety Malcolm Easley, who apparently lines up and then collides with an unsuspecting referee.
We're willing to leave open the opportunity that Easley simply did not see the referee until it was too late to change his momentum, however; according to the Gallatin News, Easley bumped the same official on the play prior and was told not to have any contact with the men in stripes.
Easley, son of head coach Brandon Easley, was called for a personal foul but remained in the game. The TSSAA has reportedly decided that it will not issue any further punishment.
