After being let go as the head coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs after back-to-back 9-7 seasons and a 57-55 overall record, Jon Gruden joined the team at ESPN where he starred in every coach's favorite series, sitting down with college football's best NFL bound quarterbacks to break down their college film prior to the draft.
Now, just a few seasons after being let go from being the Raiders head coaching job after some controversial racist and sexist emails were discovered, Gruden is set to make a return to talking about football.
This time though, instead of a major network behind him, he's branching out on his own with "Gruden Loves Football.".
That's right. Gruden has started his own YouTube channel, where he puts his thoughts on NFL matchups on a whiteboard and walks viewers through the storylines of the roster and coaches that he finds most interesting and appears he has a partnership with BetOnline as well.
In 2021, following his dismissal, Gruden filed a lawsuit against the NFL alleging that commissioner Roger Goodell and the league forced him to resign, but the Nevada Supreme Court ruled in favor of the NFL in a 2-1 vote saying that Gruden's dispute is subject to league arbitration - meaning that the long-held dispute will be settled behind closed doors, rather than publicly through the legal system.
So with that in mind, fans of this new approach by the veteran coach should get used to seeing the white board notes and not any NFL highlights or branding moving forward.
