Kirby Smart and Georgia reportedly losing a staffer to the NFL (Brandon Tamres)

For eight straight recruiting cycles, Kirby Smart and his Georgia staff have put together signing classes that have ranked among the top three nationally.

Georgia inked 29 prospects this past class, with 247 ranking the group the top recruiting class in the country.

With that type of success comes teams and organizations looking to poach the talent that helped bring those types of highly touted classes to campus.

Nick Underhill shares that Bulldogs recruiting analyst Brandon Tamres is leaving for an opportunity in the NFL.

Tamres is set to join the New Orleans Saints scouting staff, Underhill adds.

Before landing on Smart's staff, Tamres was the coordinator of scouting at Maryland for about nine months, a job he was promoted to after serving nearly a year as a recruiting analyst for the Terps.

As a student at Maryland, he worked as a recruiting assistant with the program for over three seasons as well.
