Kentucky and Mark Stoops reportedly targeting Mountain West coach for offensive coordinator role (Boise State)

After hiring Liam Coen twice over the last three seasons, only to have him leave for an NFL offensive coordinator job after a single season each time, Mark Stoops is reportedly targeting a Mountain West coordinator.

Pete Thamel shares today that Bush Hamdan is being targeted as the Wildcats next offensive coordinator.

Hamdan spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Boise State, and had initially been retained by new head coach Spencer Danielson.

He brings previous SEC experience with him to the role, as he coached the quarterbacks at Missouri for a season in 2022 before leaving for Boise State.

He also spent a few seasons as Washington's offensive coordinator in 2018 and 2019 and has a season in the NFL to his credit as the Falcons quarterbacks coach in 2017.
