Maryland reportedly adding an ACC coordinator to staff (Aazaar Abdul-Rahim)

Mike Locksley is making a strong addition to his staff following an 8-5 season and impressive 31-13 win over Auburn in their bowl game.

247 shares that Boston College's Aazaar Abdul-Rahim is expected to join the Terps staff.

The report adds that Abdul-Rahim's title will be associate head coach for defense and co-defensive coordinator.

He spent the last four seasons at BC, with this past fall marking his first season with the co-defensive coordinator title.

A former high school head coach at Friendship Collegiate Academy, Abdul-Rahim spent some time under Nick Saban at Alabama as a defensive analyst and director of player personnel.

He also has a stop as the defensive coordinator at UMass in 2019 just prior to joining the BC staff.

Renowned across college football for his work in the secondary, this will mark a return to Maryland for Aazaar, who previously worked with the Terps from 2016-18 under DJ Durkin.
