Michigan defensive line coach Mike Elston reportedly leaving for Chargers (Mike Elston)

Jim Harbaugh is expected to add another Michigan on-field assistant to his staff in LA.

Tom Pelissero shares tonight that Wolverines defensive line coach Mike Elston also heading west with Harbaugh.

A number of other outlets have joined in to report the same.

He becomes the second member of the Wolverines defensive staff to make the jump to the Chargers, joining defensive coordinator Jesses Minter.

Elston spent the past two seasons in Ann Arbor, and prior to that spent over a decade on staff on the staff at Notre Dame.

Earlier today, we wrote on graduate assistant Dylan Roney also heading to LA in an unspecified role. Roney worked closely with Elston the last two seasons.

While Wolverines new head coach Sherrone Moore has made some key hires to fill offensive roles, he now has openings at defensive coordinator and defensive coordinator that need to be addressed.
