At Ball State, head coach Mike Neu will return to lead the program, sources confirm to FootballScoop.
Pete Thamel has reported the same.
Neu has led the program the past eight seasons and has two years remaining on his contract.
The Cardinals finished this past fall 4-8.
He is 37-56 leading his alma mater with a 23-39 record in MAC play.
During the COVID-impacted 2020 season, Neu led the Ball State program to a 7-1 record which included the MAC title, as well as a win in the Arizona Bowl over San Jose State.
The breakout 2020 season has been the only year they have finished over .500. They followed that season up with a bowl trip and 6-7 finish in 2021 and then a 5-7 year in 2022.
