NC State staffer reportedly heading across the country for FCS opportunity (FCS)

North Carolina State graduate assistant Austin Davis is reportedly heading west for a coaching opportunity with an FCS program.

Matt Zenitz tweets that Davis will be the new offensive line coach at Northern Arizona (FCS).

The former all conference center and two-year starter at Duke spent three seasons on the Blue Devils staff before taking the graduate assistant opportunity with the Wolf Pack in January of 2022.

Northern Arizona had originally filled the offensive line job with Oregon offensive graduate assistant Viane Talamaivao back in mid-December.

However, Talamaivao headed back to the Pac-12 ranks as the offensive line coach at Stanford back in late December, opening up the offensive line job in Flagstaff.

After four seasons in graduate assistant roles, Davis is now set to lead his own offensive line room 2,000 miles away from his current post.
