Back in early May, rappers Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre announced that their new alcoholic beverage - appropriately named "Gin & Juice" - would become the new title sponsor of the Arizona Bowl.
The news made waves at the time as the first time an alcohol product was the presenting sponsor of an NCAA post season game, and now they're making headlines again with another first-of-its kind deal.
Snoop announced today that they will be the first bowl game to provide NIL deals for all players.
As how players can be paid through NIL deal continues to evolve, with seemingly little to no actual oversight, its logical to wonder if this starts a trend, and if it catches on if it will do anything to slow the amount of players who opt out of bowl games if it trickles up to the major bowl games.
The Arizona Gin & Juice Bowl is set to feature teams from the Mountain West and the MAC and will kick off December 28th at 4:30pm EST.
