2020 Broyles Award nominees announced

The Broyles Award on Tuesday announced its list of nominees for the 2020 honor, given to the nation's top assistant coach.

The group of 56 nominees was chosen by a panel of writers, broadcasters, current head coaches and a Hall of Fame selection committee.

The 56 nominees will be whittled down to 15 semifinalists and five finalists, which will be announced at a later date.

The winner of the 2020 award typically would have been announced today, the Tuesday following conference championship weekend, but was pushed back due to the pandemic.
