2020 FootballScoop Coach of the Year finalists -- Defense/Special Teams

Amid a year of unprecedented challenges, coaches across college football rose to the challenge. Through a global pandemic, coaches assisted their players through a spring and summer spent in their hometowns, and then led them through a season of constant disruption and adapted to ever-changing conditions to put their players in position to succeed on game day.

Now in their 13th year, the FootballScoop Coach of the Year awards are the only coaching honors where coaches must be nominated by one of their peers in order to receive consideration and where each year's winner is chosen by the prior winners of that award.

Winners will be announced in the coming days and weeks. Offensive finalists were also announced Monday.

We are once again honored to work with AstroTurf in honoring these deserving coaches.
