3rd grade college football fan pens letter to Lane Kiffin about entering the "fan transfer portal"

Since the introduction of the transfer portal, it doesn't seem like a day goes by without news breaking of a new student athlete hitting the portal.

Yesterday, the number of student athletes in the transfer portal (in all sports) eclipsed the 1,500 mark for - I believe - the first time ever.

So while we've all heard of the transfer portal for players looking to take their talents somewhere else, has anyone heard of a "fan transfer portal"?

A third-grade Tennessee fan recently penned a letter to Lane Kiffin stating he's entered the fan transfer portal looking for a new program to pledge his allegiance to, and the Ole Miss head coach shared the letter on social media.

The letter reads:

Dear Mr. Kiffin,

My name is Landon Israel. I am in the 3rd grade. I am in in the fan transfer portal. I'm looking for a team. I was a lifelong fan to Tennessee Vols. Due to recent allegations, I'm looking for a new team to pull for.

Will you recruit me as a fan? Why should I become an Ole Miss fan?

I've narrowed it down to my four. They are Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, and Ole Miss.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you,
Landon Israel

Ole Miss' recruiting page quickly responded with a #LandonToTheSip reply, which one would think might be enough to get him to transfer his fandom to the Rebels. It's also interesting that he still lists the Vols as one of his final four, so there still may be some hope holding on for Josh Heupel and his staff to "keep him home" as well.

Stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
