8 Division II teams remain in quest for national title (division ii)

A total of eight teams spread out over what Division II calls "Super Regions" remain in the D-II title hunt.

In total, two of the #1 seeds that started the tournament remain (West Alabama and Indiana University of Pennsylvania). The other two were Fort Hays State, who got beat by Ferris State (D-II - MI) last weekend, and Central Washington, who lost to Texas A&M Commerce in overtime 34-31.

Also worth noting, defending national champs Northwest Missouri State was knocked out in the first round by Ashland (D-II - OH).

Super Regional games will take place this weekend, followed by semifinal games December 9th, which will be aired on ESPN. The national title game will be televised on ESPN2/WatchESPN at 6pm EST out of Kansas City December 16th.
