A hack that allows you to provide coaching to your assistants during practice

As a head coach, making sure that everyone in your program speaks the same language can be a huge task.

Most coaches are holding off season staff meetings leading up to their season to get everyone on the same page, but retaining the coaching points being emphasized can be difficult.

Surely, there has to be a better way out there.

Enter Matt Hackenberg, a basketball coach who works with other round ball coaches, who provided this great coaching hack on Twitter yesterday that immediately connected with coaches in multiple sports, including myself.

Hackenberg provides his assistant coaches with small, spiral bound, double sided book of notecards with a giant heading at the top, and coaching points and the verbiage he wants used with them emphasized in various ways.

Imagine the confidence and comfortability these would provide if coaches were able to pull them out during a water break and take a look at "TACKLING CUES" before heading to a tackling period of practice, or "COVERAGE CUES" before heading to 7v7 / Skelly periods.

Having something like these handy will go a long way in reinforcing your coaching philosophy, and will give new coaches immediate credibility with your players.

Take a look at these. Really like this idea.
